“What are you doing tonight?” asks Tom… “Not much… What did you have in mind?” I replied. “The weather here is shit… Let’s drive somewhere to catch a sunrise. You up for it?” he asks… “Uh, Yeah… I’m up for it”… and we hit the road.
10 hours of driving later we arrived to Trillium Lake trying to figure out where Mount Hood was (It was cloudy and dark at 3:00am). After catching a couple z’s in the car, we woke up, set up our cameras and this happened… Worth every mile, and every minute and every Jack In The Box burger @tomhill_photography made me eat… In the end this was a blend of 4 shots. One for the sky, One for the trees/transition area, and one for each of the rocks for sharp focus.
